I offer telehealth-only sessions for adults 18+ in Massachusetts.
I am currently accepting new clients for two evening session time slots (Tuesdays at 5pm and 6pm). If this does not work with your schedule, please contact me to be added to my waitlist, as my openings shift on a regular basis.
I aim to see the complexity and larger picture of people's lives, believing that if the answer to our problems and human suffering was easy, one self-help book would have taken care of it! We were not meant to do this life alone, and sometimes an outside perspective or specific technique can help.
Feedback I have received from clients is that they appreciate how I make all kinds of room for their emotions, experiences, and full selves. I endeavor a posture of curiosity and context towards emotions, not reducing them to problems that need to be solved. My inner landscape has ample space! Offering a genuine and authentic relationship, I work to understand each client and co-construct a direction for our time together. As we move forward, I draw from a variety of theoretical orientations* along with, inevitably, my own life experiences and background.
I grew up in medium-town Minnesota, and from there I’ve had an eclectic mix of jobs and education! You can head over to my LinkedIn profile here for the chronological details. And in the midst of these experiences is the more meaningful part: the people and communities I was with along the way, in all their diversity. This joy (and difficulty alongside of course) of being present with and learning from others, and being changed as a result, led me to graduate school at UMass Boston for a career in mental health counseling. Since then, I’ve spent four years in group and individual outpatient therapy settings, continuing to learn, grow, and be present alongside my colleagues and clients.
